Neues im Herbst: Made by Marley, Italien und Weihnachtsworkshops

New for autumn: Made by Marley, Italy, and Christmas workshops

A lot has happened at neukombiniert this autumn. There are new additions to the range, I’ve been traveling in Italy, and the Christmas season is drawing closer. Here is an overview.

Now official: neukombiniert-interiors is a Made by Marley stockist
I am very pleased to announce: neukombiniert-interiors is an official stockist for Made by Marley and, as such, the first stockist in Europe. The range includes decoupage papers, stencils, furniture stamps, and Lel’s Lustre pigments. The products are available in the neukombiniert shop and in the online store. The latest papers will follow shortly.

The A3 format (29.7 x 42 cm) decoupage papers have a white border. With motifs like Floral Jungle, Magnolia, or Toadstool, you can transform furniture, trays, and tins into little unique pieces. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ is wonderful for the finish. For those who would like to try it out first, the Découpage & Metal Leaf Workshop is the easiest entry point.

Using the burner with Dario BiagioniAnd then I was off to Italy: The absolute highlight in September was the workshop with Dario Biagioni from Arte della Patina. In his studio in Tuscany, I worked on patina techniques together with Anna from @moebel.art and ten other participants from Europe, the USA, and Great Britain. A workshop with so many creative people from different countries is a special exchange where you learn a lot about your own work along the way.

A moment that particularly sticks in my memory is when I was allowed to use the burner on a piece of furniture for the first time with Dario's help. Suddenly, everything fell into place: I understood how the individual steps mesh with one another and how they create a harmonious patina.

The trip was more than just a workshop. In total, I drove 3,800 kilometers and used every opportunity along the way to visit vintage shops and markets. Some of the finds from this journey can already be found in the neukombiniert shop.

in Padua with AgaOn the way there, I also made a stopover in Padua and visited Aga from @lanascotta. Aga is an Annie Sloan Star Painter and, like me, an Annie Sloan stockist. It was lovely to exchange ideas with a colleague who loves the same paint.

And the next exciting event is already approaching: the Christmas season is drawing nearer and there will be crafting at neukombiniert during Advent, and in the best of company. Two Christmas workshops will take place on Saturday, December 5th, and two creative colleagues will be joining in:

  • Zoe from @zoepinkgorilla is bringing kitsch in its most beautiful form. Together, we will create a kitsch wreath, as lush and playful as can be.
  • Anushka from @hipaholic will be demonstrating the paper pulp technique. Paper will be transformed into a picture frame or a vase, shaped around an old vase.

And that’s not all. Further Christmas workshops are being planned:

  • Christmas Tray in Decoupage & Metal Leaf: a festive tray that becomes a very personal unique piece
  • Mini Workshop for Tree Ornaments and more: small decorative pieces for the tree and windowsill, to keep or to give as gifts
  • Light Star Workshop: a light star that is painted or decorated entirely to your own taste. Places are limited.

All details regarding the Christmas workshops will be in the next blog post and on Instagram. You can, however, already save the date for Saturday, December 5th.

Anyone who would like to see the new papers, stencils, and finds in person is warmly invited to drop by Baseler Straße 7 in Berlin-Lichterfelde West. I look forward to seeing you!
